Here's a beautiful happiness bird figurine that was made exclusively for the National Fenton Glass Society (NFGS) in 2022. It is made of marble glass (by Mosser Glass). Marble glass is mostly grey with a few tan tones. It is hand painted as a striking Loggerhead Shrike. The loggerhead shrike is called the "Butcher Bird" and is the only predatory songbird. It hunts insects, lizards, mice and other birds and impales it's prey on thorny bushes or trees for easier consumption. It is hand painted like the natural bird with black, white and mottled gray markings that is really stunning. It measures approximately 6.75" long and is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or damage. It is signed by Susan Bryan, dated 2022 and NFGS. This wonderful and very limited happiness bird figurine would make a great part of your Fenton collection or a great gift for your favorite bird watcher!
